I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, before moving to Savannah, Georgia, to attend Savannah College of Art and Design, where I received a bachelor’s degree of fine arts in fashion design. The Lord then allowed me to attend Dallas Theological Seminary. After graduating with a master’s degree in biblical studies, I moved to Memphis and served full-time as the director of emerging leaders for Downline Ministries before moving back to Dallas. I am currently a pastor with the village church in Dallas, TX. I also preach and cast vision for the Red (or Christ) Revolution Movement, both locally and nationally. We are launched our first spring break gathering called “The Rising” on March 15-18, 2009, in Memphis, Tennessee.

A little more about me-Because I consider myself a poor man’s trainer, I love body science. So I can usually be found watching anything from the sport I played in college—basketball—to soccer, water polo, table tennis, track or lacrosse. I love to see how marvelous the Lord is, and the more I learn about the human body, the more glorious I realize He has to be. I also love to think in a Christocentric way about culture, whether that means listening to music, analyzing a movie’s dialogue, or reading an article. Anything that points to Christ, figuring out how to exalt Him in culture, gets me too hype. I have been meaning to start a fashion label that makes a ton of money so that 80 percent can go to the disenfranchised locally and globally to exalt Christ in that arena, but that takes a team I don’t have. Maybe someday. My kryptonite is indeed chips; since I’ve been walking I have been eating them…thanks Dad.

Thanks for processing these truths alongside of me. I hope they cause you to lie awake at night thinking, just like I have been pondering them. And I hope you come to the conviction that you have to do something for the exaltation of Christ. I truly pray that you will be part of the revolution of Christ in the modern culture.
