What is the big deal? The reality about “AVATAR” is this, the movie visually is uncanny, no surprise there. What will surprise you is the obvious political agenda blatantly projected from the script. The pantheistic meets mother nature world view was weird but not shocking, I don’t go into movies expecting them to be about Jesus.
But when it’s all said and done this movie boast of unity, sacrifice, and ideas of how an incarnated life leads to historical change. A friend had some greats insights on how this movie causes you to long for the day when we will have the better glorified body, a land that will be breath taking, a new world, and a connection to the Lord with the people you love dearly like you’ve never experienced before. Definitely worth seeing in the theaters with the right lenses, makes me want to see it again.

I am an addict,
an addict of self.
I nurse my flesh and walk in comfort.
I am an addict of self.
I am intimately acquainted with all that i think i need
and make every attempt to see those met.
I am an addict,
an addict of self.
I feed my desires the choicest of luxuries, comforts, and delicacies;
anything that will curb my satisfaction pangs.
I am an addict of self. More

Interesting picture and caption. Especially because I ministered inside a refugee camp in Palestine and played ball for one of their semi pro teams for three months. This is a real conflict, with real stories, of real people who are caught up in a story bigger than themselves.

The Sudan was truly a mix of emotions. With it being humbling, tiring, spiritual exhausting and fruitfully lasting, I still wake up asking the question, why me? And I keep coming back to God grace. His grace when it comes to the fact that I was on a team of seven royal priest teachers from the village church, who went over to train 50 pastors in Yei. God’s grace that he would allow his teaching, formulated through red rev to be said of by the Bishop there This is what we need to hear and learn more of, if we learn this and live it, peace will come to all of Southern Sudan. WOW!!! I know it’s not me and I should not be surprised but to be a vessel used to experience that type of supernatural reaction is flooring.
I taught on true family but customized and called it the true tribe of Christ. With tribal wars being one of the main reasons for killings and strife amongst the church, this was a weighty talk to present and for them to hear. The pics above are the illustrations I drew and showed them during the two hour teaching on this Christ centered reality. Tribal markings from the day of birth have recently been outlawed for it’s mutilating effects, better late than never huh. But with the residue of these markings seen on the foreheads of those living there the marks and issues are still devise. Even while we where a tribal war broke out displacing 4,000 women and children. So to use the word to the extent that I did and show them the reality of how Christ sees us, ONE TRUE TRIBE, for all was life changing.
Continue to pray as I have been humble by this opportunity and asked to return immediately for future opportunities. I truly believe that the Lord is passionate about his name. But the supernatural undertaking is hearing the Spirit to discern which way is he calling us to communicate his glory for the respective sub cultures to see and gaze upon it. Praise the Lord that his glory was indeed contextualize in a way that it pointed to the risen savior, Jesus.

The Hurt Locker is a subtle yet compelling movie that pierces the heart with one question.
What in life is worth my very life, from the breath I breathe to the relationships that consume it? The main character in the movie finds his answer, whats yours?! Luke 14:26.

A must see, this movie it embodies what he means to “forget what lies behind and press on toward the goal” Phil 3:13-14. Ellie called Carl to this in the movie, Paul called himself to this and Jesus called his disciples and all who followed to this reality.

God puts us all in a desert at some point in our lives. But the reality is, Christ has not deserted us He is defining us. Seek not to be hydrated from this world but long to be refreshed by him.

So the first Red Revolution conference, The Rising happened and what a rising it was. From the lyrical sold out message of the 116 clique to the literal call of following Christ coming from Afshin Ziafat and his life’s testimony, Jesus was truly exalted.
The conference took place in historic downtown Memphis, TN from March 15th -18th. The line up of artist ranged from soulful contemporary artist Ronnie Freeman, Jourdan Burks, Dawntoya to the 116 clique. Speakers included the gifted Eric Mason out of Epiphany fellowship in Philadelphia to Local teachers (Memphis, TN) such as Ben Parkinson and Kennon Vaughan. Adam Thomason (Vision caster/speaker for Red Revolution and The Rising) wanted an eclectic representation of Christ through music and gospel centered teaching to show a glimpse of the vast yet beautiful nature of God. This was not only accomplished but it was supernatural. More
